Woawwwww; I have actually eaten in that ristorante - I was in Florence with a girlfriend for a 2 weeks Italian course in the early 90th and we had a gift to find the eateries where the locals ate. And it was THE place which I would always find again and I am so very happy to read that it obviously still exists (mind you, your visit dates from 2007, MY experience from the 90th but luckily, there is always TRIPADVISOR .... :)

My goodness, I shall hasten to subscribe to your blog illico prestissimo - this is just making me SO hungry!!!
Mille grazie - and happy home-hunting!!!

Who are you people? This is the BEST! Why don't we know each other? I LOVE Coco Lezzone - I 'found' it in the early 90's (recommended to me by an elegant woman on a train from Venice - she lived in Vicenza). I have been there many times over the years; any time I'm within a 2-hour train ride of Florence - I recommend it to EVERYONE as my "favorite restaurant in the world". Your photos are 'painful' for me - I can taste the tomato/bread soup...thanks

I love going for the spots under the radar screen and away from tourists (including their fannypacks and ridiculous outfits)

Great Post. But now it's 8am and I'm hungry for Roasted Pork Loin Stuffed with Herbs...
